We are continuously seeking new ways to help local artists showcase their work. Seeing inspiring creativity enriches all our lives, and sharing art with a steady stream of tourists and locals helps artists build their careers and experience the glow of appreciation. Currently, this is how we are helping the most creatives get the best exposure.
We have Monthly Themed Competitions where our students and locals of all ages can compete for cash prizes. The media doesn’t matter, and the adult category first, second and third prize winners take home $100, $75 and $50, respectively. Youth contenders get age-specific rewards, too. You do not have to take classes at KRVAA to compete.
Artists can hang or place their work in our Themed Gallery for a month for a fee of $10 per piece, with a 20% commission to KRVAA if it sells. We find this raises awareness and gives artists much-needed exposure and feedback on the work they do so far from any big metropolitan center galleries.
Some artists prefer to hang their work on our Retail Wall. It is free to place up to two pieces of work per artist there for up to three months. If sold, they share a 40% commission with KRVAA.
For professional crafters, our Gift Shop offers an Etsy-style brick-and-mortar location. Gift shop collections can be placed for $15 per month with a 20% commission as items sell.
And finally, we offer the Artists Exchange Retail shop where useful supplies or intriguing thrift shop finds are discovered, donated and sold at rock bottom prices to fuel creative imaginations. Please do not drop off unsolicited donations of items. We have very limited space and can’t take everything. Contact us if you have a gift in mind.
