Art for All and All for Art
I
The Kern River Valley Art Association
Is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing the arts and supporting the artists of the Kern River Valley. We welcome everyone with a creative spark from first‑time beginners to seasoned professionals and believe that art thrives when the whole community is invited to participate.
Visit our gallery to experience remarkable works created by local artists, explore rotating exhibitions, and discover the talent that lives right here in our valley. Join us for events that bring people together, take a class to expand your artistic vision, or shop for fine, original art in person or through our online gallery.
At KRVAA, creativity is for everyone and there’s always something inspiring waiting for you.

One of the most beautiful spots on earth, the Kern River Valley has drawn a remarkable number of celebrated artists to make this their creative home. KRVAA began as a place to showcase their talent but has grown into much more. Wide open spaces can feel isolating at times, but here we offer a gathering place for imaginative people. Our kids’ activities, gallery exhibitions, seasonal events, and ever-growing selection classes bond our community as only making art together can. From classic techniques to the kind of crafts that require a hammer and an anvil, the Kern River Valley Arts Association welcomes all tastes and talents.
Book A Class and Challenge Your Imagination
The Kern River Valley Art Association offers a wide variety of art classes and workshops for all skill levels, many of our instructor’s travel to the Kern River Valley to share their skills and creative knowledge with our community.
To help our instructors plan materials and ensure classes run smoothly, advance registrations is required for all classes. You may register online or in person at the Art Center.
Seeing us on your phone? Go ahead and turn your phone on its side and you should see all the details when looking at any class.
