“Boundless Totality”
          by Sean Buck Ortiz

BOUNDLESS TOTALITY

The lights in our night skies span space and time as evidence of ancient worlds that the science of astronomy, with new technologies, are endeavoring to discover.  However, it should be noted that ancient civilizations have been aware of these celestial bodies through their earth-based spiritual practices providing an understanding of the sacred geometry.

These new astronomic images along with North American indigenous spirituality have influenced my artwork in contemplation of the Celestial and Spiritual Geometry.  As an abstract artist, I am pushing my vision in contemplation of our Earth in relation to this Universe as well as those vast and uncharted territories beyond.  Postmodern art has created a great platform using conventional methods of color and design to express my interpretation of the nexus of space and time incorporating ancient earth-based spiritual wisdom with discoveries of science utilizing novel technologies.

My contribution to the art world is a celebration and acknowledgement of the global scientific community that has come together, crossing geographic and political boundaries, to pool resources – in order to better understand what lies beyond our atmosphere.
