The Kern River Valley Art Association is a non-profit dedicated to the art and artists of the Kern River Valley. We welcome all people with an artistic interest, whether beginner or advanced. Come in to view remarkable works by your neighbors, participate in events, join our classes to expand your artistic vision or shop for fine, original art in our gallery or online.
One of the most beautiful spots on earth, the Kern River Valley has drawn a remarkable number of celebrated artists to make this their creative home. KRVAA began as a place to showcase their talent, but has grown into much more. Wide open-spaces can feel isolating at times, but here we offer a gathering place for imaginative people. Our kids’ activities, gallery exhibitions, seasonal events, and an ever-growing selection classes bond our community as only making art together can. From classic techniques to the kind of crafts that require a hammer and an anvil, the Kern River Valley Arts Association welcomes all tastes and talents.
Book A Class and Challenge Your Imagination
Many of our teachers travel here from outside the KRV to bring us these wonderful classes. It can be quite difficult to commute an hour or more and to pre-purchasing necessary supplies, only to have no-shows or overbookings. That’s why, beginning October 1, 2025, you must pre-register for any class you wish to take, either online or in person a day in advance at out main gallery on Wofford Blvd. Please note how easy it is to register below.
