The Kern River Valley Art Association invites you to participate in the annual Kernville Arts and Crafts Festival over Labor Day Weekend in sycamore shaded Circle Park, located in the quaint western-style town of Kernville, nestled in the Southern Sierras, and within walking distance of the Kern River.

The festival features 40 arts and crafts booths. We book on a first come first serve basis. Space is limited and it will sell out early for 2021. Apply Today.

When: There are 2 shows each year for this annual event. The dates for the 2021 shows are as follows:

Labor Day Weekend: September 4, 5, 6 - Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

Where: In Circle Park, located at the town center of Kernville, CA 93238. Overnight security will be provided.

Eligibility: The festival is open to original handmade arts and crafts. Our goal is to have a show with variety both in media and price range. No mass produced items, imports, or kits will be considered. The criteria for selections are quality, originality, diversity, and presentation. Each medium will be limited to assure a well-balanced show.

Booths: Each space will be 10’ x 10’. If you need a 20x10 or a 30x10, we will combine multiple 10x10 spaces.

A canopy that will fit within the confines of your space is required. All booths are located on grass. Please, no pets, young children, or electronic music in your space during show hours. No electricity is available, and generators are not allowed.

Fees: The entry fee for a 10x10 is $125. The entry fee for a 20x10 booth is $250. All applications require each artist to make a donation of $25 for membership dues to the KRVAA, which covers one year of membership for the artist.

To Apply: Submit 4 photos of your work. All work should be represented and visibly obvious in your photos and listed on your application. If you bring additional work that was not shown in your photos, those items may be disqualified and must be removed. One photo must show your entire booth with its contents, approximating how your booth will look at the Kernville Arts & Crafts Festival. Photos will not be returned.

No Deadline: Applications will be taken until each show is filled, then a waiting list will be established.

Acceptance Status: Your email letter of notification will be sent within 5 working days after we receive your application.

Cancellations: The KRVAA annual membership dues and space fees are non-refundable after acceptance into the event.

If you are not accepted into the requested show all fees paid will be returned.
