Veiled Spaces: Non-Objective Art, and the Conceptual
Artist David Cook explores the metaphoric and poetic interactions between artist and materials.
Rather than creating a “picture”, his images and sculptures demonstrate how concept and process become non-objective art.
David Cook received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Bakersfield. Following two decades as an educator, his focus shifted to creating fine art. His knowledge of Art History, Theory and Philosophy support his studio work, consisting of contemporary drawing, painting, assemblage and sculpture.
The public is invited to meet the artist, Saturday, September 8, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Kern Valley Museum.
